If you're ready to make the great escape from the crowded bars of Westbourne Park Road, then you'll dig this. It's a likeable neighbourhood bar where the now- defunct Harry's Social used to be, in a smart residential street on the Royal Oak side of Notting Hill. An interesting mix of furniture and décor creates the louche vibe that attracts a laid- back mix of trustafarians and wannabe- DJ types. It's the prices that keep it, er, exclusive - £4 for a pint of beer, and that's for Guinness and Kronenbourg, not just the Hoegaarden. The new menu of Indian bar food (curries, breads) is okay, though also not cheap. Cocktails are well- made and much better value at £7 for a Martini, £7.50 for longer drinks, and staff are friendlier than the Notting Hill norm.
