Zaika

Instead, its ultra- modern decor (with a few choice antiques thrown in) puts the focus firmly on the food.

Given the rich and complex flavours on offer here, that's exactly where your attention should be. Try the coconut prawn masala, infused with lime leaves and perfect with baked naan bread (hot off the stove, coated in melting butter with a hint of fresh garlic). The tender, chargrilled tandoori dishes, washed down with a lassi, are a good choice for a light meal.

Surprisingly, one of the kitchen's highlights lies in what's usually the wasteland of Indian menus—the dessert section, which includes chocolate samosas served with masala Indian tea ice cream.
