St Martin-in-the-Fields

This central church, designed by James Gibbs, has played host to orchestras, chamber groups, instrumental soloists and choirs for almost three hundred years (since 1726). Head to this Trafalgar Square fixture at lunchtime for the excellent free concerts, performed three days a week by talented musicians from around the world. In the evenings, the candlelit church is an enchanting setting for the baroque, choral and classical concerts given here.

Lunchtime concerts are held on Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 1:05pm (50 minutes). Evening concerts are every Thursday, Friday and Saturday (and every other Tuesday) 7:30pm (90 minutes- 120 hours)
